The Talwar-Class guided missile frigate is a modified Krivak III-Class frigate in service with the Indian Navy. This is an intermediate class between Bramhaputra and Shivalik classes.
Talwar class is a guided missile frigates class, currently in service with the Indian Navy. Built by Baltiysky Zavod, the frigate supports naval forces during air, surface and sub-surface missions.

The Talwar-class guided missile frigates are the improved versions of the Krivak III-class (Project 1135) frigates used by the Russian Coast Guard. The Talwar was developed from the Russian Krivak III class.
KALININGRAD: The Indian Navy is likely to get its first two advanced Talwar class frigates by 2022, following clearance of payments and key material procurements that will enable Russia’s Yantar Shipyard to commence full-scale work on the warship.
