Much of the Nordhouse Dunes nature trails cannot be completed in under two hours, however, if starting at the Lake Michigan Recreation area, you can complete the Arrowhead Trail in under 2 hours.
Boat Launch. The trail is good for all skill levels and is primarily used for walking, trail running, and snowshoeing. All comfort stations within the park have barrier-free access. A one kilometre loop at the beginning of the Sandbanks Dunes Trail is barrier-free. It is suitable for boats less than 18 feet.
