It is much more difficult to see any of your surroundings and the stars projected on the walls of the mountain appear much more realistic than what they did originally.
There are no loops upside down or anything like that, and there are no huge drops...overall it is pretty mild but goes around and around, only seems scary because it is pretty dark, though not completely. Should I try this ride?

I had a lot of fun on matterhorn. I have never been on ghost rider so i dont know. Space Mountain doesn’t have any inversions, but the track is very dark. 7 years ago. Space Mountain has a top speed of less than 30 miles per hour, but it seems like it’s going faster because the ride takes place inside of a nearly-pitch-black dome. The speed it about the same so you can handle it! How scary is Space Mountain? It's like flying through outer space. The recent refurbishment made the ride even darker so it’s now more difficult to see where you’re headed most of the time.

Space Mountain is not an intentionally scary ride. And I'm a chicken! WELCOME to RIDEABILITY! To top it off, the darkness is not really my thing, but I know that is what makes it fun. And for the most part, even though it's in the dark, there is enough light to see what's going on and what's going to happen.

I don't ride scary rides at all! get fast passes the first time yall go in it. i think the anticipation is way worse than the actual ride itself.

Space Mountain is a bit intimidating due to the fact that it's mostly in the dark, but aside from it throwing you around a bit, it doesn't have the height to really have the stomach lurching drop that causes the "fear" of most roller coasters. I love Big Thunder Mountain as well. She loves rollercoasters. Space Mountain is actually a mild coaster, what makes it scary is that it is in pitch black.
