Hello all, I know the site says you can keep something like 10 chickens in an Eglu Cube, but can you really fit that many in there?
If you were to have an extension on the Eglu Cube run making it 3 metres long, we suggest the number of chickens be between 6 and 10 chickens, 6 chickens if you were NOT going to let them free range and 10 if you were.

We want to buy the Eglu Cube for the chickens that we are planning to get in the spring. It's a sturdy coated metal mesh with a removable door and 'skirt' around the edge to prevent foxes digging under. Because other components, like the door handle, may fail I would think 20 years a fair life estimate. Are your chickens happy in it? It’s also important to note that this is a tractor, and not a permanent structure – this is an important distinction since many areas have laws about building structures in your backyard. After dreaming of having chickens for close to 10 years, moving to a city that freely allows them, then battling with an HOA that doesn’t, I finally gained the use of a pasture near my house zoned agricultural and outside of any HOA.
