Since it started in 1991 it entertains thousands of visitors. The visitors of the event can taste the latest products of the Hungarian wine makers. This is one of our most favourite festivals in Hungary which we try to visit each year. It is the celebration of the release of the new wine.
The New Wine and Cheese Festival comes to the fairytale Vajdahunyad Castle in Budapest’s City Park on 24 November.
Nowadays, the festival turns to be one of the professional wine events in central Europe. Budapest Wine Festival is a unique event that hosts hundreds of exhibitors and attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Buda Castle.
The Budapest International Wine Festival is a great opportunity to taste award-winning Hungarian wines, and this year the best of Chilean wines and gastronomy. I've been doing some research on things to do during our upcoming trip (arrive Friday, Nov 25th) and stumbled across the New Hungarian Wine and Cheese Festival at the Vajdahunyad Castle.
